According to Arkansas Single Parent College Fund, the aim of this scholarship are encouraging educational and training ambitions of low-income single parents. This program is served by volunteers who work on governing board of directors and set eligibility requirements for participation, recruit applicants and raise funds to match ASPSF grants. Again, the source comes from various sources. Donations from local businesses, community organizations, churches, charitable foundations and private citizens are contributing the three-quarters of fund.
University Alumni Scholarships
Alumni contribute this kind of program. The scholarship is sponsored by alumni. There are several examples of these scholarships. One of them is Coplan Donohue Single Parent Scholarship at the Minnesota State University. According to MSU, this program gives a $1.000 for the single-parent student with custody of your children. Several conditions must be fulfilled. They are completing 30 credits, prove evidence of scholastic excellence and be a citizen.
