For elderly homeowners who have arrears on heating and utility bills, they can feel release because Florida government has Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP). Get Energy Smart Retrofit Loan Program
For those who live in Sarasota County, you are very lucky because the government offers Get Energy Smart Retrofit Loan Program. This program offers home owners in this county to get at a maximum of $5,000 loan with 0% interest rate to buy energy-efficient appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters, windows and doors and furnaces. For applicants who get this program, they will also get free fluorescent light bulbs and a free Do-It-Yourself Energy Savings Kit. Home Energy Efficiency Program
Another county that has special energy efficient program is the Orange County.
